Tucker Carlson: Nixon Was Removed from Office Because He Knew CIA Was Involved in Kennedy Assassination

Must read

Fox News host Tucker Carlson ran an explosive segment suggesting President Richard Nixon was removed from office because he apparently knew the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and was asking too many questions.

The eye-opening segment came as Carlson was discussing Joe Biden’s classified documents scandal, something he suggests is an operation against the current President to keep him from running again.

Because, as he notes, if he were impeached or removed for actual offenses destructive to this country, it would bring a lot of people down with him.

“Washington is protecting itself,” he said, claiming the Department of Justice is punishing the President. “Joe Biden alone is responsible for this crime. He alone took home classified documents.”

Enter an American history lesson courtesy of Mr. Carlson. One you might not have been aware of involving Nixon, often portrayed as a criminal or ‘crook’ by the American media, and with Watergate portrayed as the absolute height of political criminality.

Tucker Carlson proceeded to draw a link between Biden’s current scandal and one he feels shares a similar trajectory in which “permanent Washington” stepped in to change the course of history.

He began by pointing out Nixon was the “most popular President in American history” but somehow “was kicked out of office and replaced by the only unelected president in American history” less than two years later.

People tend to forget, but Richard Nixon, at the time he was accused of organizing a team of burglars to break into the DNC, was on his way to a 49-state blowout in the 1972 election. What would have been the purpose of caring about anything the DNC was doing?

And that’s when Carlson’s theory truly got interesting.

“On June 23, 1972, Nixon met with the then–CIA director, Richard Helms, at the White House,” the Fox host explained. “During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew ‘who shot John,’ meaning President John F. Kennedy.”

“Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy’s assassination, which we now know it was,” he added. “Helms’s telling response? Total silence.”

Richard Helms, of course, was the CIA Director of Plans starting in 1962

The Fox News host has pushed the claim previously, even going so far as to suggest an unnamed source has informed him that “yes, the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination.”

That’s when, according to Carlson, the Washington Post and Bob Woodward started publishing “dishonest” reporting about the break-in at the Watergate Hotel.

“Unbeknownst to Nixon and unreported by The Washington Post, four of the five burglars worked for the CIA,” he correctly reported.

Carlson Hammers Bob Woodward

Carlson pivoted his focus to Woodward, who he notes “wasn’t a journalist” at the time, but rather, had “top-secret clearance” at the Pentagon and “worked regularly with the intel agencies.”

“Woodward was hired by the most powerful news outlet in Washington and assigned the biggest story in the country,” Carlson stated, despite his lack of credentials for the job.

“Just to make it crystal clear what was actually happening, Woodward’s main source for his Watergate series was the deputy director of the FBI, Mark Felt,” he added. Felt, of course, being the infamous “Deep Throat” whose identity was “unknown” for decades.

“And Mark Felt ran — and we’re not making this up — the FBI’s COINTELPRO program, which was designed to secretly discredit political actors, the federal agencies wanted to destroy — people like Richard Nixon.”

The program involved Felt directing FBI agents to break into homes secretly in 1972 and 1973, without a search warrant, on nine separate occasions.

The Church Committee of Congress would later investigate and reveal the FBI’s illegal activities.

Felt took credit for being Deep Throat in 2005 – a key source who provided Woodward and fellow reporter Carl Bernstein with critical information about the Watergate scandal, ultimately leading to Nixon’s resignation.

But, as The Political Insider reported in 2018, Woodward has a penchant for embellishing ‘facts’ and statements.

Legendary Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, himself deeply involved with many intelligence agents, like Cord Meyer, had openly expressed “fear in my soul” that Woodward embellished elements of his reporting in the Watergate scandal, for which he had become known.

One element involving “Deep Throat” having been signaled by a flower pot, something a colleague asserted “strained credulity.”

The Woodward book has already been refuted and discredited by General (Secretary of Defense) James Mattis and General (Chief of Staff) John Kelly. Their quotes were made up frauds, a con on the public. Likewise other stories and quotes. Woodward is a Dem operative? Notice timing?

Carlson proceeded to suggest Nixon’s vice president, Spiro Agnew, was conveniently indicted for tax evasion and forced to resign, replaced with “a colorless congressman from Grand Rapids called Gerald Ford.”

“What was Ford’s qualification for the job?” he asked. “Well, he had served on the Warren Commission, which absolved the CIA of responsibility for President Kennedy’s murder.”

“Eight months later, Gerald Ford of the Warren Commission was the president of the United States.”

Carlson hosts another interesting conversation about President Richard Nixon on his Fox Nation documentary “The Nixon Files.”
