DeSantis Says Gavin Newsom’s ‘Hair Gel’ is Affecting Brain Function After CA Governor Demands ‘Kidnapping’ Charges

Must read

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fired back at Gavin Newsom for demanding he be investigated for “kidnapping” after flying planes of illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, suggesting his California counterpart’s “hair gel” is depleting his “brain function.”

Newsom sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland last week requesting the Department of Justice looks into “kidnapping” charges for those involved in the effort to send illegal immigrants to the progressive enclave.

At a news conference Friday, DeSantis (R) scoffed at the idea and took a jab at Newsom’s use of hair care products.

“So the Governor of California sent a letter to the Department of Justice saying, ‘You need to prosecute Texas and Florida Governors,’” DeSantis told reporters at a news conference.

“And all I can say is, I think his hair gel is interfering with his brain function.”

Governor DeSantis’ comments echoed those of The Political Insider when it was suggested the outlandish charge of ‘kidnapping’ by Gavin Newsom appeared to indicate “the Bryl cream is starting to seep into his brain.”

Newsom responded to the taunts with what must have seemed like a superb comeback in his own mind.

“Since you have only one overriding need – attention – let’s take this up & debate,” he challenged on Twitter. “I’ll bring my hair gel. You bring your hairspray. Name the time before Election Day.”

Newsom tagged his press secretary CNN in the posting.

Hey @GovRonDeSantis, clearly you’re struggling, distracted, and busy playing politics with people’s lives. Since you have only one overriding need — attention –let’s take this up & debate. I’ll bring my hair gel. You bring your hairspray. Name the time before Election Day. @CNN https://t.co/vTJHQxfArW

Newsom is clearly trying to draw attention to himself in a situation that doesn’t affect his state in any way, as he seeks to improve his far-left bonafides as a potential replacement for President Biden in the 2024 election.

He needs DeSantis more than the Floria Governor needs him or his hair gel.

Newsom’s Own ‘Kidnapping’ Allegations

Supporting DeSantis’ claims that something – whether or not it is the hair gel – is affecting Gavin Newsom’s brain is the letter to Garland itself.

“Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization,” Newsom claimed.

“I urge US DOJ to investigate whether the alleged fraudulent inducement would support charges of kidnapping under relevant state laws.”

DeSantis reportedly used funds from $12 million earmarked in the budget and voted on by numerous Democrats that allow for the transportation of “unauthorized aliens” out of state.

Here are all the Florida house reps and senators who voted for this year’s budget, including the funding for transporting illegal migrants out of Florida into sanctuary states.

Almost every Dem voted for it. Now they’re calling @GovRonDeSantis a criminal for following through😂 pic.twitter.com/HCT6wtn3k1

Additionally, DeSantis claims the flights were “voluntary” and the illegal immigrants that ended up in Martha’s Vineyard signed release forms to go to Massachusetts.

If that is accurate, case closed.

So the “#DeSantis trafficked these people like cattle” narrative continues to crumble. Lt Gov of FL just explained on national TV that the immigrants signed various consent forms and that the travel to Martha’s Vineyard was purely voluntary, requiring them to sign off in writing.

Then, as is frequently the case with Democrats, there is the outright hypocrisy behind Newsom’s allegations.

As reported by The Political Insider on Friday, the California Democrat, as mayor of San Francisco in 2004, implemented a program known as ‘Homeward Bound’ which scooped up the city’s homeless and sent them on one-way bus rides out of town.

A column by SFist describes it as a program with a nice name that masks the fact that it “gives unsheltered San Franciscans a one-way Greyhound bus ticket out of town and asks them to please never come back.”

Or, in Newsom’s world – “kidnapping.”

Newsom’s office told Fox News on Monday that “there is no comparison between the two” efforts to transport people out of state.

“Republican governors are using vulnerable migrants, including families with children, as political props,” Newsom’s communications director, Erin Mellon, said. “Their behavior is monstrous.”

Only a ‘monster’ would send illegal immigrants from a location where they can’t afford to support them and send them to a playground of the rich and famous, apparently.

Good to see Newsom is sharing his brain-cell depleting hair gel with his staff as well.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
